Job Description•Design, Implement and Project Manage (specify, acquire, configure, test and deploy) sales applications in support of the Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Quote & Order Entry, Contract Management and Forecast Sales Force Automation (SFA) functions. •Complete analysis of business processes, document requirements and identify technology enabled improvements •Translate business requirements into functional specifications to complete design and communicate to developers •Select and implement sales tools or enhancements to current tools, define and own the scope, business requirements, project sizing, resourcing, project plan, issues management, and project plans •Drive process improvements by streamlining or automating processes, holding post-mortem reviews of projects to find lessons learned that can be applied to subsequent projects, flowcharting processes, gathering user feedback and suggestions for translation to process or toll improvement •Document and communicate product rules and tool changes to the user community •Drive cross-functional project teams, including external consultants and technology vendors, to implement complex technical solutions •Partner with IT on all technology / vendor selection decisions •Complete training and user support through Video on Demand, in person, WebEx, telephone, IM user training and guidance to support users •Design, develop, and maintain user documentation, web site and course materials for all audiences including executive, finance, sales, and partner, for Salsesforce.com and Firepond. •Develop, test and document development deliverables with functional users •Develop and define configuration rules with product management and engineering •Ongoing development, support and maintenance of sales business systems, update design related documentation •Ongoing user set up and approval workflow maintenance •Administer data in Oracle, Firepond and Salesforce.com •Create and maintain price lists in Excel •Run and review reports to maintain data integrity Skills •Excellent project management skills; primarily resource prioritization, risk assessment, and contingency planning •Strong proven track record of meeting deliverable on time •Demonstrated technical expertise to develop rules as “super user” in support of ongoing updates •Ability to create test plans, test cases and conduct system testing, conference room pilot (CRP) testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) •Understanding of sales business processes •Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with credibility at all levels of the organization •Must possess strong analytical skills, be a good problem solver •Responsive to customer needs and highly motivated to improve the skills and capabilities of his/her organization •A team player outlook with the ability to work well with peers •Strong level of experience in Oracle 11i eBusiness Suite, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Entry level knowledge/experience of at least 1 programming language or visual basic a plus •Business Objects or similar report writing application desired •Experience with Bills of Material structures and product lifecycles •Knowledge of trade compliance HTS and ECCN codes and product classification desired Education BA college degree or 5 years equivalent experience |
